How to Choose the Right Precise Set
-
Check Your Height
Precise sets come in petite, regular, tall, and tall +1 inch sizes. The size determines club length and lie angle. If you are under 5'3", look for a petite set like the NX460 Women's Petite. For heights between 5'3" and 5'9", regular size works. Players over 5'9" should choose a tall or tall +1" set, such as the M5 Men's Tall +1". Always match the size spec to your height for a comfortable address position.
-
Confirm Hand Orientation
Every Precise set in this guide is built for right-handed players only. There are no left-handed options available. Before you buy, verify that you are right-handed. If you are left-handed, you will need to look outside the Precise brand for a suitable set. The hand orientation is listed in the specs of each product, so check it before adding to your cart.
-
Choose the Right Audience
Precise designs sets for men, women, teens, and seniors. Men's sets typically have heavier shafts and larger grips. Women's sets use lighter graphite shafts and smaller grips. The M5 Women's Regular Pink Set is built for women of regular height. The Aspire XD1 Senior Men's Set uses senior flex shafts for slower swing speeds. Pick the set that matches your strength and swing speed, not just your gender.
-
Compare Shaft Materials
Graphite shafts are lighter and absorb more vibration, making them easier on the arms and shoulders. Steel shafts are heavier and offer more control for stronger players. Many Precise sets mix materials: graphite in the woods and steel in the irons. The M5 Men's All Graphite Tall Set uses graphite throughout for maximum weight savings. If you want a lighter feel, choose all-graphite. If you prefer feedback, look for steel irons.
-
Look at Shaft Flex
Shaft flex affects trajectory and accuracy. Regular flex suits most average swing speeds. Senior flex, found in the Aspire XD1 Senior Men's Set, is softer and helps slower swings launch the ball higher. Stiff flex is not available in these Precise sets. If you have a fast swing, you may need to look elsewhere. For most beginners and casual players, regular flex is a safe starting point.
-
Count the Clubs and Bag
The number of clubs in a set ranges from 11 to 15. More clubs mean you have fewer gaps to fill later. The M5 Men's Tall +1" set includes 14 clubs plus a bag. The MDX II Teen set lacks a putter, so you will need to buy one separately. All sets come with a bag, but some have a stand bag and others a cart bag. If you walk the course, a stand bag is more convenient.
-
Consider Age Range
Some Precise sets are designed for specific age groups. The MDX II Teen Right Hand Set targets golfers aged 13 to 16. It has shorter clubs and lighter shafts suited to growing players. Adult sets are built for full-size adults. If you are buying for a teen, choose a teen-specific set for proper fit. For children under 13, you may need to look at junior sets outside this guide.
Frequently asked questions
Are Precise golf club sets right-handed only?
Yes. All 15 sets listed here are designed for right-handed players. The product data confirms right-hand orientation for every model, from the M5 Women's sets to the Men's Complete Sets. You will not find left-hand options in this group. Check the size spec to ensure the club length matches your height before purchasing.
Do these sets include a stand bag?
Most do. The M8 Women's Complete Set, AMG Men's Complete Set, and M3 Men's Complete Golf Set all come with a stand bag. The NX460 Women's Petite Set includes a dual-strap bag. However, the MDX II Teen Set lacks a putter and its bag type is not specified in the data. Always verify the included accessories for your specific model.
What shaft material do Precise sets use?
They use graphite or steel. The M5 Women's Pink Set and M5 Women's Tall Set feature graphite shafts for easier swings. The M8 Women's Set uses Kevlar Graphite shafts. Men's sets like the AMG and M3 often blend graphite woods with steel irons. The Aspire XD1 Senior Set uses all-graphite A flex shafts. Lighter shafts generally help beginners generate more distance.
Which set is best for a beginner under 5'3"?
The Precise NX460 Women's Petite Set is the top choice. It is sized for players five feet three inches and below. This 14-pound set includes all essential clubs and a dual-strap bag. It is designed for right-handed women beginners. The lightweight construction and forgiving driver make it a practical start for shorter players new to the game.
Are there options for senior men?
Yes. The Precise Aspire XD1 Senior Men's Set is tailored for this group. It features lightweight all-graphite A flex shafts and a forgiving 460cc titanium driver. This configuration helps reduce fatigue and promotes an easier swing. The set weighs 15 pounds and includes 14 pieces. It is designed for senior men seeking a complete, ready-to-play package.
How much do these sets weigh?
Weight varies by size and materials. The NX460 Women's Petite Set is the lightest at 14 pounds. The M5 Women's Pink Set weighs 16 pounds. The M3 Men's Green Regular is heavier at 18.9 pounds due to steel irons. The M5 Women's Tall Set weighs 20 pounds. Lighter sets generally aid beginners in swinging the clubs more comfortably.
Do these sets include a hybrid club?
Many do. The M3 Women's Tall Purple Set includes a hybrid alongside cavity back irons. The NX460 Women's Blue Regular Set offers a forgiving driver and hybrid for consistent play. The M5 Women's Pink Set also includes a hybrid to help launch the ball. Hybrids replace difficult-to-hit long irons, making them valuable for beginners seeking easier contact.
