Bag Boy Compact 3 Key Specs

Weight: 14 pounds

This weight makes the cart easy to lift into your car trunk and carry if needed. You will not struggle with fatigue when moving the cart over short distances. It is lighter than many heavy-duty steel carts. This spec benefits walkers who prioritize portability and ease of handling on and off the course without adding excessive bulk to your transport.

Fold Type: three-step fold

The three-step fold mechanism allows you to collapse the cart quickly and securely. You can store it in tight spaces like a small car trunk or a garage corner. This simple process reduces the time spent setting up or packing away your gear. It is ideal for golfers who value convenience and efficient storage solutions between rounds.

Height: 36 inches

A thirty-six-inch height provides a comfortable walking stance for most average to tall users. You can push the cart without bending your back excessively during a full round. This dimension ensures ergonomic comfort and reduces strain on your shoulders and spine. It is a standard height that fits well with typical golf course terrain and user preferences.

Brake Type: handle mounted parking brake

The handle-mounted brake lets you lock the wheels instantly while standing upright. You can secure the cart on slopes without bending down or reaching for the wheels. This feature adds safety and convenience when you stop to check your scorecard or adjust your bag. It is essential for maintaining control on uneven or inclined fairways.

Design and build details

The Bag Boy Compact 3 is built for straightforward utility. According to the listing, the frame supports a matte black and red finish. This color scheme is available in two variations, including a silver and black option. The finish is primarily aesthetic, but the structural integrity relies on the compact engineering. The cart weighs 14 pounds. This mass keeps the unit light for lifting into trunks, yet substantial enough to remain stable during use. The folded dimensions are 21.5 inches by 13 inches by 18 inches. This footprint allows for easy storage in most vehicle compartments without taking up excessive space.

The layout includes a full-feature extra deep scorecard console. This area stores golf balls, a smartphone, and includes an integrated beverage holder. You can keep your essentials organized and within reach while walking. The upper bag bracket accommodates both stand and cart bags. Adjustable support arms ensure a secure fit for various bag styles. This versatility means you can use the cart with your current equipment without needing adapters.

Controls are minimal and practical. A handle-mounted parking brake keeps the cart stationary on slopes. You engage it with a simple pull or push of the handle. The wheels are oversized, measuring 9.5 inches at the front and 11.5 inches at the rear. These larger tires roll through grass with ease, reducing the effort required to push the cart. The three-step fold mechanism simplifies collapse and setup. You can open and close the cart quickly, saving time between holes.

Setup and everyday use

The Bag Boy Compact 3 uses a simple three-step fold mechanism. This design allows for quick setup and compact storage. You can collapse the frame in moments, making it easy to lift into your car trunk. The folded dimensions are 21.5 inches by 13 inches by 18 inches. This size fits well in most vehicle spaces without taking up excessive room.

The upper bag bracket supports both stand and cart bags. Adjustable support arms ensure a secure fit for your specific bag type. The cart stands at 36 inches high, which accommodates most standard golf bags. You can choose between a matte black and red finish or a silver and black option.

Daily use is supported by oversized wheels. The front wheels measure 9.5 inches, and the rear wheels are 11.5 inches. These larger dimensions help the cart roll through grass with ease. You will experience less resistance when pushing the cart across uneven terrain. A handle-mounted parking brake keeps the cart stationary on slopes. This feature prevents unintended movement when you stop to take a shot.

The console offers extra depth for practical storage. It includes a dedicated space for golf balls, a smartphone, and an integrated beverage holder. This layout keeps your essentials organized and accessible. The mobile device holder allows you to track scores or view course maps without removing your phone. The overall design prioritizes functionality and ease of use for your round.

Before you buy this cart

Before adding the Bag Boy Compact 3 to your gear, verify compatibility with your current bag. The listing notes an adjustable support bracket for both stand and cart bags, but you should confirm your bag fits securely. Check the height settings, as the unit stands at 36 inches, to ensure it aligns with your posture. Since the cart lacks a motor, you must be comfortable walking the course while pushing it. The large 9.5-inch front and 11.5-inch rear wheels handle grass well, but you should inspect the terrain on your typical courses. Keep the handle-mounted parking brake clean to prevent rust. Store the cart in a dry place after use to maintain the matte black and red finish. This model suits walkers who prioritize lightweight portability over automated features. It sits alongside heavier options in our guide for those who prefer manual effort. Ensure the scorecard console holds your essential items before committing to this specific layout.

Check before you buy

• Confirm your bag fits the adjustable upper bracket.
• Verify the 36-inch height suits your walking posture.
• Check if your courses have terrain the wheels handle.
• Ensure you are comfortable pushing a manual cart.
