Is Tall Size worth it?
Tall Size means longer-than-standard clubs, often listed as +1" length. One men's set states a fit for golfers 6'1" and above. Longer clubs change your setup and swing arc, so a tall set lets you stand more upright instead of crouching. The feature alone does not change club count, shaft material, or forgiveness. Match the size to your height and the rest of the set’s specs still decide how it performs.
Worth it if
- You are around 6'1" or taller.
- You need a +1" length set to avoid hunching over the ball.
- You want a complete set that already includes tall-length clubs.
Skip it if
- You are average height or shorter.
- You need a left-handed adult tall set, since the listed left-handed tall option is for juniors.
- You are shopping for a senior or youth golfer who has not outgrown standard lengths.

How We Picked Tall Sets
We selected only golf club sets whose Amazon listings specify “Tall Size” in the title or feature list. This ensures each set is designed for golfers who need extra length. We then ranked the products by availability first, followed by a weighted score based on overall rating and the number of ratings, and finally by how many of our criteria the specs meet.
To compare sets, we looked at the target audience (men, women, kids), hand orientation, shaft material, number of clubs, and any specific length details such as +1 inch. Only one size or variant per product family appears. All information comes directly from published specifications, not from physical testing.
How to Choose Tall Golf Clubs
-
Selecting Shaft Material
Look at the shaft material specified for the woods and irons. Graphite shafts reduce overall club weight, making them easier to swing for golfers seeking higher swing speeds. Sets like the Precise M5 Men's All Graphite Tall Set feature all-graphite builds. Other packages combine graphite woods with steel irons to offer more control on approach shots. Match the material to your swing requirements.
-
Checking Complete Versus Iron Sets
Review the club composition to ensure the package fits your current gear setup. Complete sets supply drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, putters, and a carry bag for immediate play. In contrast, standalone options such as the Precise A9 Men's Iron Set Tall +1" supply only irons. If you already own compatible woods and putters, an iron-only package avoids purchasing duplicate clubs.
-
Comparing Total Set Weight
Check the listed package weight if you carry your bag during rounds. Complete tall sets show clear weight differences based on their club count and materials. The Precise M5 Men's Tall +1" Complete Set lists a lighter weight of 16 pounds, while other sets weigh up to 20 pounds. A lighter package reduces carrying fatigue over eighteen holes on the course.
-
Verifying Junior Age Brackets
Junior tall clubs rely on age guidelines rather than the adult standard height brackets. For young golfers, manufacturers specify age groups to ensure proper club length and swing weight. The Golf Girl V3 Junior Set Pink designates an age range of 8 to 12 years. Always check the listed age bracket to keep youth club lengths aligned with physical growth.
-
Evaluating Driver Head Specs
Inspect the metal specifications for the included driver when buying a complete set. Packages like the Precise S7 Men's Tall +1" Blue Set highlight a titanium driver head. Titanium construction offers high strength at a lower weight, allowing larger head profiles that boost forgiveness off the tee. Check the driver specification to confirm whether a titanium head is included in the package.
