Who it fits
Good fit for
This club suits golfers who want a high-launching fairway wood that is easy to hit. The adjustable weighting allows you to dial in your launch angle and shot shape. Players who value consistency and forgiveness will appreciate the shallow face and tungsten weighting. It works well for those seeking a versatile club that performs reliably across the face. The stiff flex is ideal for swingers with moderate to fast swing speeds.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you prefer a traditional low-launching fairway wood. This model is designed for high launch and maximum forgiveness, which may not suit low-spin players. The adjustable options add complexity if you prefer a simple, fixed setup. Additionally, the stiff flex might be too rigid for slower swingers who need more flexibility. If you want a lighter shaft for increased swing speed, consider the other variations available.
Verdict: The Callaway Quantum Max Heaven Wood offers a well-rounded package of speed, forgiveness, and adjustability. It is a strong choice for players seeking a versatile, high-launching fairway wood.
Key specs explained
Shaft Flex: Stiff
A stiff shaft resists bending more than regular or light options. You need a faster swing speed to load the energy properly. If your swing is slower, you may lose distance and control. This flex suits players who generate high clubhead velocity. It provides a stable feel through impact. Compare this to regular flex if you seek more forgiveness on off-center hits.
Wood Number: Heaven Wood
This model is a hybrid-style fairway wood, typically fitting between a 3-wood and a 5-wood in loft. It offers easier launch than traditional long woods. You get higher trajectory with manageable spin. It is ideal for replacing difficult-to-hit long irons. This club provides versatility from the fairway or rough. Check the loft degree if you need specific yardage gaps in your bag.
Adjustable Weighting: Eight total configurations
You can tweak the club’s setup to match your swing tendencies. Eight options allow you to adjust launch and lie angles. This helps correct a slice or hook by changing the face angle. You can optimize trajectory for your local conditions. It adds customization without buying new clubs. Compare this to fixed-head woods that offer no such fine-tuning capabilities.
Hand Orientation: Right
This club is built for right-handed golfers. The grip, hosel, and shaft alignment are oriented for a right-side stance. Left-handed players must find a different SKU. This is the standard orientation for most golfers. Ensure you select the correct side before purchasing. Mixing orientations can cause severe alignment issues during your swing.
Design and Build Details
The listing specifies a black finish on the clubhead. This color choice is standard for fairway woods, helping to reduce glare in bright conditions. The head features a shallow face design, which the manufacturer states enhances consistency. This geometry aims to provide a higher launch angle while maintaining a low center of gravity. The sole includes a step design intended to reduce turf contact, promoting cleaner strikes through the grass. A reshaped heel adds stability through impact, helping keep the face square for greater control.
According to the listing, the clubhead positions up to 40g of tungsten low and forward. This weighting strategy is designed to increase ball speed and ensure consistent launch conditions. The face is tuned using Ai modeling to optimize speed, spin, and accuracy across the entire striking area. This tuning is particularly effective on low-face strikes, thanks to the Speed Wave 2.0 design that frees up face flex.
The shaft is described as Denali Silver 60 Gram with a stiff flex. The total length is listed as 48 inches, with a head width of 5 inches. The club offers independent loft and lie adjustability, providing eight total configurations. This allows you to fine-tune launch angle and shot shape. You can adjust for a higher trajectory, straighter ball flight, or a draw-biased setup. This versatility makes the club suitable for a wide range of skill levels.

The Step Sole Design reduces turf contact, promoting efficient strikes through the grass. This feature helps maintain center-face contact, which is crucial for accuracy. The Speed Wave 2.0 design frees up face flex, boosting energy transfer especially on low-face strikes. This means you retain ball speed even if you do not hit the sweet spot perfectly. The reshaped heel adds stability through impact, helping keep the face square. This contributes to greater control on every shot. The Ai-tuned face ensures consistent performance across the entire surface. You benefit from optimized speed, spin, and launch based on real impact patterns.
