You are looking for cobra fly xl 2 complete set alternatives because the original Cobra Fly-XL 2 Complete Set may not fit your specific needs. This set features a titanium driver with heel-biased weighting and perimeter-weighted irons to help beginners achieve distance and forgiveness. It includes a blade putter with a machined face for control. The complete package weighs 10 pounds and comes in a standard black color. You might want something different if you need a lighter weight, a specific shaft flex, or a different club configuration.
The alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original set. Some options offer higher club counts, like the PGM 19-Piece Set, while others focus on specific demographics, such as the Callaway REVA Women's Set. You can find left-handed options with the Cobra Darkspeed Adapt MAX or senior-focused sets with graphite shafts. Each alternative provides distinct specs that may better suit your swing speed, hand orientation, or preferred club materials. Review the details below to find the set that matches your requirements.
How these sets compare to Cobra
PGM 19-Piece Complete Golf Set
The PGM 19-Piece Complete Golf Set offers a significantly higher club count than the Cobra Fly-XL 2, which includes twelve clubs. PGM provides a titanium construction and graphite shafts for distance, similar to Cobra. However, the PGM set is designed specifically for men and comes in a regular size with a black finish. It includes dual wedges, which adds versatility for short game shots that the Cobra set may not emphasize as heavily. If you want more clubs for the same price range and do not need the specific heel-biased driver weighting of the Cobra, this is a practical alternative. The dimensions differ slightly, with a height of 49.6 inches compared to the Cobra's 48 inches.
Callaway REVA 8-Piece Women's Set
The Callaway REVA 8-Piece Women's Set targets female golfers, whereas the Cobra Fly-XL 2 is a general men's or unisex set. Callaway focuses on forgiveness-focused irons and includes a cart bag, making it a complete package for women who want ease of use. It shares the black color and similar dimensions, with a length of 48 inches and a weight of 10 pounds. The main difference is the audience; if you are a woman seeking a setup designed for your swing characteristics, this set is more appropriate. It sacrifices some club variety for a tailored experience. The 8-piece count is lower than the Cobra's twelve, so you may need to purchase additional clubs later.
Cobra Darkspeed Adapt MAX Iron Set
The Cobra Darkspeed Adapt MAX Iron Set is designed for left-handed golfers, while the original Fly-XL 2 is primarily right-handed. This set delivers high launch and forgiveness through its iron design, prioritizing distance and stability over compact aesthetics. It uses steel shafts, which contrasts with the graphite shafts often found in complete beginner sets like the Cobra. The weight is lighter at 7 pounds, and the size is 39.25 inches. If you are a left-handed player seeking premium forgiveness and do not need a full bag with driver and woods, this iron set is a strong upgrade. It lacks the complete set convenience but offers superior iron performance for its target audience.
Callaway Mavrik 22 Max W Irons
The Callaway Mavrik 22 Max W Iron Set is tailored for women, featuring a hybrid-heavy configuration and graphite shafts for ease of launch. It focuses on forgiveness in irons and hybrids rather than providing a full bag with driver and fairway woods. The set weighs 8 pounds and has a length of 43 inches, which is shorter than the Cobra's 48-inch complete set. It is an ideal choice for women who already own a driver and need only irons and hybrids. The black color matches the Cobra aesthetic. You give up the convenience of a complete set but gain specialized forgiveness in the clubs you actually use most often.
Cobra Baffler Hybrid Iron Set Senior
The Cobra Baffler Hybrid Iron Set Senior is designed for senior men who seek hybrid forgiveness and high launch. It features graphite shafts with senior flex, which aids players with slower swing speeds. The set uses progressive rail technology for stability. It is a partial set, not a complete bag with driver and woods. The weight is very light at 1.2 pounds, and the height is 38 inches. If you are a senior golfer looking for easy-to-hit irons and hybrids without the bulk of a full set, this is a focused option. It sacrifices the complete set convenience for specialized senior-friendly specs and hybrid ease.
Cobra Fly-XL Graphite Regular Flex Complete Set
The Cobra Fly-XL Graphite Regular Flex Complete Set is very similar to the original Fly-XL 2, offering a 12-club setup for right-handed golfers. It emphasizes easy launch and straightforward forgiveness. The shafts are graphite with regular flex, matching the original's focus on accessibility. The dimensions are identical, with a length of 48 inches and a width of 12 inches. The main difference may be subtle model year updates or specific component variations not detailed in the specs. If you want the same complete set experience with a confirmed regular flex graphite setup, this is a safe alternative. It provides the same black finish and similar weight, ensuring a consistent feel.
