6 Best Alternatives to the PGM Men’s Golf Iron Set (2026)

How each alternative compares

PGM 12-Piece Men's Golf Set Black

This PGM set expands your inventory significantly compared to the 7-iron original. It includes a full range of woods, hybrids, and irons rather than just the mid-to-short irons. You get a complete bag-ready setup, which removes the need to buy separate drivers or fairway woods. The graphite shafts remain consistent with the original, offering similar ease of launch for beginners. However, you trade the focused iron-only simplicity for a larger, heavier collection. This option suits players who want a single purchase for their entire short game and driving needs without mixing brands. It provides broader coverage for various course situations while maintaining the forgiving cavity-back design you expect from PGM.

Precise M5 Men's All Graphite Tall Set

The Precise M5 Tall Set addresses height differences that the standard original ignores. If you are taller than average, the extended length ensures proper posture and swing mechanics, which the standard size cannot provide. It retains the all-graphite construction for lightweight handling and forgiveness, similar to the PGM original. The oversized heads offer comparable stability on off-center hits. You gain better fit for your frame, which can improve consistency and reduce strain. However, you lose the specific PGM brand tuning and the exact 7-iron configuration. This alternative is ideal for tall men who need the same forgiveness but require longer shafts to maintain control and distance without altering their swing plane.

Tivor 14-Piece Left Handed Set

This Tivor set flips the hand orientation to left-handed, a critical difference if you play left. It provides a complete 14-piece collection, including woods and hybrids, unlike the original iron-only set. The graphite shafts offer similar lightweight forgiveness for beginners. You get a full bag setup, which is convenient but adds weight and bulk compared to the original. The fit is designed for players between 5'6" and 6'1", whereas the original targets standard right-handed men. This option is best for left-handed beginners who need a complete, forgiving set without buying clubs separately. It sacrifices the specific iron-focused design of the original for a more comprehensive, all-in-one solution.

PGM 14-Piece Men's Graphite Golf Set

The PGM 14-Piece Set offers a broader inventory than the original 7-iron set. It includes woods, hybrids, and a full range of irons, providing a complete bag solution. The graphite shafts maintain the lightweight forgiveness you get from the original. You gain versatility for different course conditions, from driving to bunker play. However, you trade the simplicity of a dedicated iron set for a larger, more complex collection. The blue color option differs from the original graphite finish. This alternative suits beginners who want a single purchase for all their needs. It provides more tools for improvement but requires managing a larger set of clubs compared to the focused 7-iron configuration.

Majek K6 Senior Iron Set 8-Piece

The Majek K6 Senior Set targets senior golfers with senior flex shafts, differing from the original regular flex. It offers a slightly larger range of irons, from 3 to PW, providing more distance options. The graphite shafts remain lightweight for ease of swing, similar to the original. You gain a setup optimized for slower swing speeds, which can improve launch and distance. However, you lose the specific 5-to-SW configuration of the original. The black finish and slightly different weight distribution may feel distinct. This option is ideal for seniors who need more flexibility in shaft stiffness and a broader iron range. It provides similar forgiveness but tailored for age-related changes in swing speed.

Acer XV Irons Set Senior Flex Graphite

The Acer XV Set focuses on senior flexibility with senior flex graphite shafts, differing from the original regular flex. It offers a compact range from 5 iron to GW, suitable for adding to an existing set. The silver finish provides a distinct look compared to the original. You gain a lightweight, forgiving option for seniors who need specific irons rather than a full set. The cavity-back design ensures similar stability on off-center hits. However, you lose the complete 7-iron configuration and the PGM brand integration. This alternative is best for senior men who want to supplement their current clubs with high-forgiveness options. It provides targeted improvement for specific distances without the bulk of a full set.
