Comparing Alternatives to Lady Edge
Callaway Strata Plus 14-Piece Women's Set
The Callaway Strata Plus set weighs 14 pounds, making it 4 pounds lighter than the 18-pound Tour Edge Lady Edge. It includes a stand bag instead of the cart bag found in the Lady Edge set, which aids portability if you walk the course. The Strata Plus offers 14 pieces, providing a slightly different club count than the Lady Edge configuration. Both sets target women seeking forgiveness, but the Strata Plus prioritizes distance and ease of use with a stand bag. If you prefer carrying your clubs and want a lighter overall package, this is a practical alternative. The silver color scheme also offers a distinct look compared to the white, silver, and light blue Lady Edge design.
WILSON Profile SGI Women's Complete Set
The Wilson Profile SGI set weighs 15 pounds, which is 3 pounds lighter than the Tour Edge Lady Edge. It comes with a cart bag, similar to the Lady Edge, but focuses on lightweight graphite shafts for easier swinging. The Wilson set is designed specifically for cart-based play, whereas the Lady Edge is a complete set with a durable cart bag for general use. Both target right-handed women, but the Wilson profile emphasizes stability and easy launch for those who do not carry their bag. The Wilson set has a height of 45 inches, slightly shorter than the Lady Edge's 46 inches. If you prioritize a lighter set with graphite shafts for cart play, this option offers a streamlined experience.
Adams Golf New Idea 11-Piece Women's Set
The TaylorMade Adams Golf set weighs 14 pounds, making it 4 pounds lighter than the Tour Edge Lady Edge. It includes a stand bag, offering greater portability compared to the Lady Edge's cart bag. This set features a titanium driver and easy-to-hit irons, targeting beginners who want a lightweight, forgiving starter set. The Adams set is smaller at 11 pieces, compared to the more comprehensive Lady Edge configuration. Both sets target women, but the Adams set is ideal for casual play where carrying the bag is preferred. The black color provides a distinct aesthetic. If you seek a lighter, more portable set with a titanium driver for beginners, this is a strong alternative to the heavier, cart-focused Lady Edge.
PGF Gold TP Lady 17-Piece Set
The PGF Lady Complete Set offers 17 clubs, providing more variety than the Tour Edge Lady Edge set. It includes a forgiving titanium driver and easy-to-hit hybrids, catering to beginners who want a comprehensive package. The PGF set is designed for lady right-hand players, similar to the Lady Edge target audience. However, specific weight and bag details are not listed in the provided data, so direct comparisons on portability are limited. The sky-blue color offers a different visual option. If you prefer a larger number of clubs for a full range of shots, the PGF set provides more coverage. It suits beginners looking for a complete, forgiving set with a focus on ease of use through hybrids and titanium woods.
XDriveMax Women's 11-Piece Set
The XDriveMax Women's set weighs significantly less than the 18-pound Tour Edge Lady Edge, though exact weight is not specified. It includes a 3 wood, offering more long-game versatility than the Lady Edge's 15-degree driver and fairway metals. The XDriveMax set features lightweight graphite shafts, enhancing ease of swing for women. It comes with a silver and pink color scheme, distinct from the Lady Edge's white, silver, and light blue design. The set is right-handed and targets women seeking ease of use. If you value a 3 wood and lighter shafts over a larger club count, this set is a practical choice. It balances woods and irons for players who prioritize specific club types over a full comprehensive set.
KVV Women's 7-Piece Golf Club Set
The KVV Women's set weighs only 6.9 pounds, making it drastically lighter than the 18-pound Tour Edge Lady Edge. It is a 7-piece set without a bag, offering a compact and entry-level option for women who do not need a bag included. The KVV set is right-handed and features a black and blue color scheme. This set is ideal for players seeking a lightweight, affordable start to the game without the bulk of a full set. If you want minimal equipment for casual play or practice, the KVV set provides forgiveness in a small package. It lacks the comprehensive nature of the Lady Edge but offers a simple, lightweight alternative for beginners who prefer not to carry a bag.
