Who it fits
Good fit for
This set suits left-handed golfers who prefer regular flex shafts and want a complete, ready-to-play package. It is ideal for beginners or intermediate players who value forgiveness in the driver and irons. The 14-piece count covers all essential clubs, from driver to sand wedge. You will appreciate the consistent black finish and the straightforward setup that requires no additional purchases to start playing immediately on the course.
Who should skip it
Right-handed golfers should look elsewhere, as this is strictly a left-hand configuration. Players seeking stiff or senior flex shafts will find the regular flex too flexible for their swing speed. Those who prefer custom fitting for individual club lengths may find the standard [1LST Length] option too limiting. If you need specialized wedges or a different putter style, this all-in-one package may not meet your specific performance requirements.
Verdict: The PGF MK7 is a practical, spec-driven complete set for left-handed players seeking regular flex forgiveness. It delivers a full suite of clubs with consistent design features for immediate play.
Key specs explained for this set
Shaft Flex: Regular
This rating indicates the stiffness of the graphite or steel shafts. Regular flex suits most amateur golfers with moderate swing speeds. It offers a balance of distance and control. If your swing is too slow, you may lose distance. If it is too fast, you might lose accuracy. Choose this if you want a standard feel without extreme difficulty.
Number of Clubs: 14
The Rules of Golf limit you to fourteen clubs in your bag. This package includes a driver, fairway wood, hybrids, irons, and a putter to reach that maximum. It covers all common distances and lies on the course. You do not need to buy additional clubs to start playing. This count ensures you have the right tool for every shot type.
Hand Orientation: Left
This set is built for left-handed players. The clubface orientation and shaft alignment are mirrored for left-side swings. If you are right-handed, this set will not work for you. Ensure you hold the club correctly to match your dominant hand. This specification is critical for proper stance and swing mechanics during play.
Driver Material: Titanium
The driver head is made from titanium, which is lightweight and strong. This allows for a larger clubhead size without adding excessive weight. The material helps increase ball speed and forgiveness on off-center hits. Compare this to steel, which is heavier. Titanium is the standard for modern drivers seeking distance and a larger sweet spot.
Design and Build Analysis
The PGF MK7 set is built for left-handed golfers who prefer a complete, ready-to-play configuration. According to the listing, the driver head is forged from titanium. This material choice typically reduces overall weight, allowing for higher clubhead speed without sacrificing durability. The large 460cc shape and low center of gravity are engineered to maximize forgiveness on off-center hits. You will also receive a dedicated headcover for the driver to protect this titanium surface during transport.
The fairway wood and hybrids share a design philosophy focused on easy launch. Their oversized, aerodynamic heads feature low center of gravity placements to help get the ball airborne from various lies. The irons, ranging from 6 through sand wedge, utilize advanced perimeter weighting. This layout lowers the center of gravity, promoting higher launch angles and stability. The multi-function sole geometry is designed to ensure smooth interaction with turf, reducing the chance of digging in during your swing.
Finishing touches include a classic matte black putter with an L-neck hosel. This offset design aids alignment and encourages a proper roll. The parallel grip is specified to help you maintain equal pressure throughout your stroke. The entire set is available in black, with length options including the 1LST size shown here. This standard sizing ensures the clubs fit the average male golfer’s height, providing a balanced feel from driver to wedge.
Setup and everyday use guide
Setting up this PGF MK7 package is straightforward because it arrives as a complete 14-piece set. You do not need to source individual clubs or match shafts separately. The listing specifies a regular flex for all shafts. This consistency means you get uniform feel across the driver, woods, hybrids, and irons. For left-handed players, the set is configured correctly from the start. You simply attach the grips and assemble the clubs. The black finish on the heads provides a clean look that matches most standard golf bags. The driver includes a headcover, as do the fairway wood and hybrids. This protection helps maintain the titanium and forged materials during transport to the course. Daily use benefits from the specific design choices in the data. The driver’s low and back center of gravity promotes forgiveness on off-center hits. This is practical for players who may not strike the ball perfectly every time. The irons feature perimeter weighting and a lower center of gravity. These specs help launch the ball higher and keep it on line even on mishits. The putter uses an L-neck hosel for offset. This alignment aid helps square the face at impact. The parallel grip ensures consistent hand pressure. You can rely on this set for regular rounds without needing to adjust component compatibility. The standard and 1LST length options allow you to choose the fit that matches your height. This completeness makes it a practical choice for starting out or replacing a worn set.
Before You Buy This Set
Since you are purchasing a complete 14-piece package, you will need a compatible golf bag. This set includes headcovers for the driver, fairway wood, and hybrids, but you must ensure your bag has adequate slots to protect these specific items. The listing specifies a regular flex and left-hand orientation. You must verify that your swing speed aligns with regular flex requirements to maintain proper trajectory and distance. If your swing is significantly slower or faster, this specification may not suit your game. Additionally, check the club length options. The data shows variations for standard and 1LST lengths. Selecting the correct length is critical for your posture and swing mechanics. Keep the clubheads clean after every round. The matte finish on the putter and the titanium driver require simple wiping to prevent dirt buildup from affecting performance. This set serves as a full solution, but proper accessory selection ensures longevity.

Frequently asked questions
Is the PGF MK7 set suitable for left-handed beginners?
Yes, this set is explicitly designed for left-handed men who are new to the game. The specifications prioritize forgiveness to help you launch the ball more easily. You get a full 14-piece package, which removes the guesswork from building a starter bag. It is a practical choice if you want alignment aids and consistent regular flex shafts.
What does the regular size mean for this club set?
The regular size indicates the standard length and weight configuration for these clubs. This specification is intended for average height golfers who do not require extra-long or extra-short shafts. It ensures the clubs fit most players without needing custom fitting. You will get a consistent feel across the bag with this standard sizing.
Does this set include a bag?
The product listing specifies a 14-piece set of clubs but does not mention an included golf bag. You will need to source a compatible bag separately to carry your new clubs. Ensure your chosen bag has enough slots to protect the driver, fairway wood, and hybrids, as headcovers are included for these specific items.
Are the shafts graphite or steel?
The listing confirms the set uses regular flex shafts, which are typically graphite in complete sets for beginners. This material helps increase clubhead speed and reduces vibration. The regular flex rating suggests these shafts are optimized for moderate swing speeds, offering a balance of distance and control for amateur players.
What clubs are included in the 14-piece set?
The set provides a complete 14-piece configuration, which typically includes a driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, and a putter. The driver features a titanium head for weight reduction. You also receive headcovers for the woods and hybrids. This full range allows you to play various shots from the tee, fairway, and greens.
Is the PGF MK7 available in right-handed models?
The reviewed product is specifically listed as a left-hand orientation. You cannot purchase this specific 14-piece package in a right-handed configuration. If you play right-handed, you will need to look for a different SKU or model from the PGF brand that matches your handedness. This set is exclusively for left-handed golfers.
How does the titanium driver head benefit me?
The titanium driver head is designed to reduce overall weight while maintaining durability. This lighter construction allows you to generate higher clubhead speed more easily. For a beginner, this means potentially more distance with less effort. The material choice supports the set's focus on forgiveness and easy launch for moderate swing speeds.
